Lock it, and clicks hit the desktop

You want the calendar visible, and a click to land on the desktop icon.

Translucent but still eating clicks is just glass. 1.8.3 makes lock mean pass-through. The toolbar hides, the page fills, it reads as a widget.

Unlock from the tray submenu or the home icon menu. Top, bottom, and unlock sit together. You do not need the toolbar first.

Locked · clicks hit the desktop

Lock makes clicks pass through. A calendar widget you can see, not hit. Unlock from the tray or the icon menu.

What to lock

Clocks, calendars, a tiny chart, a status board — seen far more than clicked. Unlock before you type. Do not lock a form you are filling.

Do not

  • Do not lock a sign-in page. Missing the field looks like a broken app.
  • Do not expect a workspace tab to click through. Pop-out only.
  • Do not confuse this with the workbench password lock. That hides the whole desk when you leave.

Boards that must turn themselves: Stop hitting refresh.
