Cloud copies setup, not cookies
“The cloud” is not one sentence.
1.5.1 made WebDAV Pro: Nutstore, Nextcloud, manual up/down, then interval checks. 2.0.0 added official Cloud: after sign-in, setup follows the account. Yearly, sold separately. Both copy the workspace — groups, windows, script list — not each site’s session.
New computer: layout arrives, shop consoles want a password again. That is intentional.
Groups, windows, scripts live here. Sites open offline from cache the site itself keeps.
Takes the workspace layout. Official Cloud is yearly. Buyout does not include it.
Gmail and admin sessions stay on this machine. Sign in again on the next computer.
Do not merge three things into “the cloud”. Local setup always works. WebDAV / official Cloud copy the list and window settings. Site sign-ins stay on this computer.
Which pipe
You already have a disk with WebDAV → turn it on in Pro. You want fewer server fields → official Cloud yearly. Buyout unlocks Pro and does not include official Cloud. Already bought out and only need sync → still buy yearly. See Buyout is not Cloud.
Local automatic backup is a third switch. JSON import/export is for an occasional move.
Do not
- Do not read “signed into Cloud” as Gmail coming along.
- Do not use Cloud as a password box. Keychain is the OS; fill is Pro; it is not in the cloud pack.
- Do not sync first. Run the workspace loop on this computer first.
Page scripts: Scripts are not an extension store.
